Sophie Alcorn

Founding Attorney

I’m a native Californian, who grew up in Southern California and first came to Silicon Valley to attend Stanford University.

I developed a passion for immigration law from my father, who was also an immigration attorney. My mother, an immigrant from Germany, inspired my dedication to help others create the lives they dream of for themselves and their families in the U.S.

I’ve been practicing immigration law since 2008, handling hundreds of cases. I have experience with both U.S. business immigration and family-based immigration law, with particular expertise in immigration options for startups, specialized workers, entrepreneurs, and investors.

I’m currently the treasurer of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. I joined the ranks of the National Advocates Top 40 under 40, a select group of young attorneys who demonstrate outstanding qualifications, leadership, influence and stature.

Ich spreche Deutsch. Y hablo un poco de español.

When I’m not practicing law, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children, meditating, advocating for women’s rights, traveling the globe, painting, and studying languages.

My experience is listed in more detail on Linkedin.
