Mary Grilli Jacobs
I have experience with green card applications, work permits, non-immigrant visas, and naturalization. I have assisted companies through the H-1B visa process and subsequent H-1B extensions/transfers. I have handled deportation and asylum cases pro bono at Alcorn Immigration Law and Catholic Charities of Santa Clara.
I enjoy meeting and working with people from all over the world. I chose to practice immigration law in part because it provides me the opportunity to do just that. I feel I can truly help improve our clients’ quality of life by helping them to come to the U.S. legally to live and work.
I grew up in the Washington, D.C., area, and came to California in 2013.
Prior to joining Alcorn Immigration Law, I practiced corporate transactional law at Venable LLP in Washington, D.C., assisting clients with structuring, funding, and growing small- to mid-size companies.
As a fellow at Georgetown Law, I worked with international students to improve their American English writing and speaking skills. I served as an editor of the Journal of International Economic Law while attending law school.
Parlo Italiano a livello conversazionale. Entiendo Español.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading and discussing books, tinkering with my sewing machine, and spending time with my husband and three children.
