I immigrated to San Jose, Calif., with my family at the age of 7 due to the political turmoil in Iraq, where my family was living at the time. My family waited more than 13 years to receive our green cards.
I feel a connection to clients looking to come to the U.S. due to my immigration experience. I pursued immigration law to help those who want to have the same opportunities I have in the U.S.
I graduated in 2015 with a law degree from University of San Francisco School of Law. And I graduated cum laude and with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in civic engagement.
While attending law school, I worked at an immigration law firm as a law clerk focusing on corporate immigration law. I was also a member of the USF Law Review and tutored students in legal research and writing.
Yes hayeren guh khosem.
When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, cooking, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and taking dance classes.
